Solar torch + Night light
Concept developed in collaboration between Royal College of Art + EPFL + ECAL Lab
One side of the product displays a customisable glow in the dark message. The other side absorbs energy from light, powering the torch, whilst the torch itself shines from the bottom.
This concept was born from the analysis and dissection of an existing double purpose product. Once I understood deeply the variables of it, its context of use, technology and market I have designed my proposal.
With a glow in the dark face, it becomes a point of light during the night showing the way out. Hang uses a solar panel that can be charged with diffuse light (bulb light).

Linterna solar + luz auxiliar de noche
Concepto desarrollado en colaboración entre el Royal College of Art + EPFL + ECAL Lab
Uno de sus lados muestra un mensaje fosforescente personalizable. El otro contiene un panel solar que absorbe luz, suministrándole así la energía a la linterna que se encuentra en la parte inferior del producto.
Este concepto nació del análisis y disección de un producto doble propósito existente. Al ahondar en todas las variables de este, entendiendo su contexto de uso, tecnología, mercado, entre otras, diseñé mi propuesta.
Al tener en una de sus caras material fosforescente, sirve de punto de luz durante la noche, por lo que al ser colgado en la puerta indica el camino. Hang utiliza un panel solar que puede ser cargado con luz difusa (de bombillo).
